Standing at just 12.5 x 12.5 x 25 inches (WxHxD), easily duct this unit into your HVAC system or use it as a standalone unit in tight crawl spaces or basements. Its compact design allows it to fit in attics and other confined areas, while its leveling feet help keep it sturdy even in crawl spaces. 

Ducting Options 

The Aprilaire 70 Pint Dehumidifier installs as part of your central HVAC system. As your system runs, the dehumidifier pulls air in using the return ducts, dehumidifies it, and sends dry air back into your rooms. The system can also run independently as a standalone dehumidifier, dehumidifying air in a single space.

Common installation locations include an equipment room or closet, basements or your attics. Hanging installation is also possible. Two 8-inch duct collars are included for ducting air return and supply, and the supply duct can be installed in 1 of 2 locations on the unit for more flexibility in your space.

Additional Features

• On-Board Humidity Control: Use the buttons to adjust the setting from 40% to 80%. Typically customers set it to 55% when first installed and adjust based on how they feel. 
• Automatic Sensing: Your dehumidifier will automatically sense the air and compare it to your humidity setting, then adjust its operation as needed.
• Air Filter: Remove dust and other air impurities before air travels through the dehumidifier and back into your space. 
• Auto Defrost Control: In cool conditions, an automatic defroster turns off the compressor and runs the blower until the coils are defrosted to protect the unit from damage.
• Adjustable Outlet Options: The duct collar is adjustable for top or side discharge application.
• Leveling Feet: Four stabilizing rubber feet are included to ensure proper drainage of the dehumidifier.
• Drain Hose Included: Easily drain water to another location with the included 10-foot drain hose and easy attachment. 

Optional Features

• Optional External Controls: Looking for simple wall controls? If your unit is installed in a hard-to-reach location, consider adding the Model 76, 8620 and 8910 wall controllers. 
• Optional Ventilation: Ventilation is optional durable installation. If set up, this dehumidifier will ventilate a certain amount of time per hour. The damper brings in air from outside to distribute fresh air. Adjust how often ventilation occurs on the control panel. 
• Optional External Condensate Pump: Add an external condensate pump (not included) for convenient moisture removal. It can push moisture up and out of the unit as needed.
