S&P TRCeN500(V) 488 CFM Energy Recovery Ventilator w/ EC Motor

The S&P TRCeN500 Commercial Energy Recovery Ventilator provides fresh air exchanges to improve the indoor air quality of commercial spaces in any climate.

This commercial ERV uses two 170 W direct-drive electronically commutated motorized impeller packages and an AHRI 1060 certified energy recovery core to deliver an airflow of 166 to 488 cubic feet per meter (CFM) with high efficiency and fan efficacy.

The fully insulated 20 gauge galvanized steel cabinet features access doors for quick and easy access to the unit’s blowers, core, and filter. This model uses two MERV 8 filters (14 x 20 x 2 inches) to remove impurities from outside air and room air.

Airflow Options

Customers can choose between the TRCeN500 or the TRCeN500V for different airflow and duct connection configurations that will fit various spaces and applications.

• TRCeN500: Return and outside airflows enter on the same side of the unit.
• TRCeN500V: Return and outside airflows enter on opposite sides of the unit.

Power Specifications

The TRCeN500 and TRCeN500V feature a 208-230V single-phase system with 1.16 FLA (per motor), 2.6 minimum circuit amps, and 15 amps MOPD. This ERV also has a non-fused disconnect and a 24 VAC transformer relay package to power and connect optional accessory controllers.

High Efficiency Cores

The TRCeN500 uses one L85-G5 core, which crossflows indoor and outdoor airflows using S&P’s “air-to-air” technology to provide the highest energy recovery possible while keeping airflows separated.

The resin recovery cores have a unique moisture transfer capability that eliminates moisture and frost build-up down to -10 degrees F and 40 percent RH, resulting in higher efficiency and more reliable operation. Additionally, this model does not require a condensate pan or draining solution.

Easy Installation

The preferred mounting location is sitting on a concrete floor using the factory-provided leveling legs, or attached to a structural support or ceiling . This ERV connects to new or existing ducting with 12 x 12-inch square receiving flanges.

Differential pressure ports in the core will allow HVAC professionals to take pressure measurements and monitor the system’s operation.
