Phoenix Activated Carbon & Potassium Permanganate Filter (4031878)

The Activated Carbon & Potassium Permangante Filter is designed for use with the Phoenix GuardianR Pro 500 CFM HEPA Air Scrubber System. This optional gas phase filter from Phoenix uses a blend of carbon and potassium permangante to remove the majority of contaminants found in most filtering applications. Activated carbon removes heavier VOC’s and the potassium permangante easily handles lower molecular weight contaminants such as smoke odors in the aftermath of fire damage, as well as alcohols and ketones.

Determining when to replace the filter is made easy due to the fact that it changes color as it loads up, changing from black (new) to pink, brown, and then white. It is best changed when it passes the brown state and begins to turn white. This filter is used as an alternate to the regular stage 1 pleated air filter.. (Part #4031878)
