The Friedrich ZoneAire Premier PTAC with Heat Pump uses up to 7,200 BTUs of cooling power and an efficient heat pump to keep rooms up to 300 square feet comfortable all year. A large LED display shows the preset or current temperature which can be adjusted with the one-touch buttons, putting customization at your fingertips. 

• Digital Controls: Adjust the temperature, mode (cooling, heating, or fan-only), and fan speed (low, medium, and high) with easy-to-use digital controls.
• Improved Air Distribution: The tangential blower wheel has almost five times the surface area of a typical PTAC fan and creates even air distribution.

This Friedrich model was built to provide quiet and efficient heating and cooling during any season.

• Two-Motor Design: Features one indoor and one outdoor motor. This permits the indoor motor to run slower, reducing indoor sound levels without giving up heating or cooling power
• Quiet Operation: fans and sound-reducing insulation keep noise levels low.
• Quick Start and Stop: To ensure quiet operation, the two permanently lubricated fans are delayed from starting or stopping at the same time as the compressor.
• Vibration Isolators: The compressor is mounted with vibration isolators to ensure quiet and smooth operation.
• High-end Insulation Materials: The thick steel inner walls and foam decrease energy loss and noise levels.
• High-Efficiency Rotary Compressor: This rotary compressor maximizes the durability and efficiency of the Friedrich 7,200 BTU PTAC as the heat is running.

• Desk Control: Connect to an Energy Management Thermostat to enable remote staff control. This provides control of the PTAC’s energy usage, earning it a 13.0 EER and saving money.

Unique Heating Design

This Friedrich PTAC uses an efficient heat pump to warm rooms. Heat pumps use less energy than traditional heaters by transferring warm air instead of creating it. This model includes a 3.6 kW electric heat backup for temperatures below 40 degrees F when the heat pump can’t operate.

• Temperature Monitoring: Features a built-in thermostat that monitors the temperature every nine minutes to maintain desired temperatures.
• Electronic Temperature Limiting: Set a low and high-temperature range to reduce energy usage.
• Instant Heat: Quickly heat spaces with this high-power heat pump mode.
• Electronic Defrost Control: The backup heater acts as a defrost control to keep the heat pump working effectively and efficiently for longer.
