Forecasting Accuracy

Using the latest methodology in weather prediction modeling and the related effects of current observations on forecasting, Acu-Rite developed a self-calibrating technology that provides a reliable, accurate forecast of weather conditions for exact locations.

A unique algorithm analyzes changes in pressure and temperature over a timer period during the learning mode to determine altitude. Taking 4,000 readings at 12-minute increments, this algorithm calculates a running average and computes the barometric pressure for the exact location. After 14 days, the self-calibrated pressure is accurate and the forecaster is ready for superior weather prediction. The algorithm continues to run so that predictions become even more accurate.

Wireless Temperature & Humidity Sensor

Acu-Rite Wireless Thermometer/Hygrometer uses a 433 MHz wireless frequency which gives optimal performance amid multiple electronic signals. It also uses less power that other frequencies and provides a farther range through building materials.

For best operation, place the Sensor at least 3 feet from other electronics which may interfere such as TVs, microwaves, computers, etc. Mount it high rather than low to eliminate interference from physical obstructions. When setting up the sensor and the monitor, check location and relocate if needed for the best wireless range.
